James brings with him a wealth of expertise and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. He started his culinary journey at 14 as a dishwasher, instantly falling in love with the art of creating food. With a background in upscale gastro pubs, Chef James is eager to introduce an innovative menu that will elevate our dining experience to new heights.James’s most recent tenure was at Westwood Brewing Co. in Rathdrum, ID, where he spent over two years as their Executive Chef, crafting a variety of dishes for which he is well-known. Prior to Westwood, James spent time at the White House Grill in Post Falls, ID. James will begin the next chapter of his career here at Avondale the week of September 2nd. You can look forward to a refreshed and modernized clubhouse menu, featuring delicious takes on classic comfort food, monthly specialties, and a range of entrées. Whether you’re stopping by after a round of golf or planning a special evening out, there will be plenty to look forward to.Thank you for your enthusiasm as we strive to make Avondale Golf Club an even more enjoyable place for all our members. Upcoming Fitting Days The sod has been completed for the bunkers under construction! We appreciate everyones patience with this project!Some course etiquette reminders as we get into the heat of the season!Golf CartsPlease keep carts at least 30 feet from all greens and tees.Look and follow any signs or ropes of where not to drive and parkUse designated cart paths whenever possibleReparing DivotsWe supply sand and seed on hole #1, #7 & #15 to fill divots.If a divot is taken and brown can be seen on the bottom of the divot, it can be replaced, if brown on the bottom of the divot can not be seen, please use sand and seed mixtureBall MarksWe ask that every golfer at least repair each of their ball marks and if possible one additional.When fixing ball marks, tools should be inserted at the edge of the ball mark and pushed towards the center. Please do not lift the soil as this will damage the roots.Tap down the repaired area with your putterBunkersBunker repair and maintenance is an art. Please enter and exit bunkers from the lowest point to avoid damaging the lips.After hitting your shot please rake the area where you disturbed and try leaving the bunker one step better than you found it.We appreciate everyone doing their part to help us keep our course in pristine condition! We will have 9 holes available each dayParking Lot Striping – Due to weather this is pushed to Tuesday, May 7th!Installation of our new Walk-In Cooler – Begins May 6th (the kitchen will be closed May 6th-10th) We will have grab and go items (Mon-Fri) as well as burgers and hotdogs (Tues-Fri)Lightspeed going live on Monday, May 6th at 9 am!Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12th! Members – We are going live with Lightspeed tomorrow Morning!Throughout the week, we will be launching the remainder of our new software, including the Avondale APP and order ahead!You should have received an email last week from Lightspeed, also known as Chrono Golf, to activate your account. If you did not receive this email, it means one of two things: either we do not have an email on file for you, or you already have a Lightspeed account. If you already have a Lightspeed account, please go to www.chronogolf.com and reset your password to gain access to your membership account. As long as we have the same email on file, your account information will automatically connect.Once our Membership APP goes live, that will be the most beneficial way to gain access to book tee times, view events, and manage your house account.Anytime new software is introduced, some things are different.
